The Self Care Beauty Bar is a modern beauty/wellness space offering private salon suites at 4034 George Washington Memorial Hwy, Yorktown, VA 23692. It's designed for independent beauty and wellness professionals who are ready to build a brand of their own in a clean, professional, and supportive environment.
Located in one of York County’s fastest growing communities, we’ve created a clean, welcoming environment where beauty professionals can build, grow, and feel at home. It’s a space where you can work independently while still feeling connected to other like minded beauty/wellness professionals.

Note: We follow DPOR licensing guidelines. A valid license is required for services including nails, eyelash extensions, facials, waxing, massage, permanent makeup, tattoo, and body piercing.

We offer private salon suites on both the 1st and 2nd floors of our building. Each unit has its own unique aesthetic, offering a modern, professional setting for beauty/wellness professionals to thrive.
1st Floor – Unit B
The 1st floor suites showcase a sleek black and grey aesthetic. This space offers 4 private suites, a waiting room, a bathroom with a fully stocked feminine hygiene cart, and a break room equipped with a microwave, fridge, air fryer, double sink, and bar seating.

2nd Floor – Unit C
The 2nd floor suites showcase a luxurious black and gold aesthetic. This space offers 4 private suites, a spacious waiting room, a bathroom with a fully stocked feminine hygiene cart, and a kitchenette equipped with a microwave, fridge, and sink.

NOTE: The application, lease signing, and security deposit payment are all submitted electronically via our online tenant portal. The application link will be sent following your tour. The security deposit link will be sent within 24 hours of the lease signature. Proof of liability insurance is due prior to move in.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a license to lease a suite?
We follow Virginia DPOR licensing requirements. A valid professional license is required for regulated services such as nails, eyelash extensions, esthetics, waxing, cosmetology (not including braids or wigs), massage therapy, permanent makeup, tattooing, and body piercing.
What lease terms do you offer?
The pricing listed on our website is based on a 12-month lease. We also offer 6-month and 9-month lease options upon request.
Are utilities and Wi-Fi included?
Yes. Your lease includes utilities and high-speed Wi-Fi, so you can focus on running your business without worrying about additional monthly utility bills.
Are the suites furnished?
No. Suites are unfurnished, allowing you to customize your space with furniture and equipment that reflects your brand and business needs.
Can I paint or decorate my suite?
Absolutely! We encourage you to personalize your suite to reflect your unique brand. You may paint, decorate, hang stuff, and mount a TV to create the experience you want for your clients.
Do I manage my own appointments?
Yes. You are responsible for managing your own scheduling and bookings. However, The Self Care Beauty Bar features all tenants in our online business directory, making it easier for potential clients to find your business.
Is there 24/7 access?
Yes. You'll have 24/7 access to your suite, giving you the flexibility to create a schedule that works best for you and your clients.
What's required to move in?
To move in, you'll need:
- A registered Virginia LLC
- A Federal Employer Identification Number (EIN)
- A valid professional license or certification (if required for your services)
- Proof of income
- A $500 security deposit
- Proof of professional or general liability insurance
How do I show proof of income?
You may submit recent pay stubs, bank statements, or tax documents with your application. There is no minimum income requirement.
What type of liability insurance do I need?
Proof of professional or general liability insurance is required before your scheduled move-in date.
Do the suites have sinks or water hookups for shampoo bowls?
No. Our suites do not include plumbing for shampoo bowls. However, portable sinks and portable shampoo bowls are permitted.
Can I upgrade to a larger suite later?
Yes! If a larger suite becomes available, you're welcome to upgrade at any time.
Can I end my lease early?
Yes. However, there is an early termination fee. The complete terms and fee structure are outlined in your lease agreement before signing.
Can two people lease a suite together?
Yes. Two professionals may share a suite. Each person must submit a separate application and provide proof of liability insurance. The $500 security deposit is split equally between both tenants.
Are nail techs allowed to lease a suite?
Yes! However, acrylic services are prohibited at this time due to ventilation.
Can I lease a suite if I don't offer a beauty service?
Yes! Please submit the contact form below with your business type and someone will get back to you within 24 hours.
Is there onsite management?
Yes! The owner of The Self Care Beauty Bar operates her own business on-site and is available during normal business hours to answer questions, provide support, and address any concerns. While you'll enjoy the independence of running your own business, you'll also have someone nearby if you ever need assistance.
Are there any move-in specials?
We do not currently offer move-in specials. Our focus is providing transparent pricing with flexible lease options and all-inclusive amenities.
